Hi guys! I know I donât post as much but I have been thinking of taking my blog to newer heights. So, I am going to revamp my cosmic go-go juice đ§ era and expand it,raise the steaks, and get to the bottom of injustice.
Iâve reached a point lately where I feel like thereâs more that I can do with my power, within legal boundaries, of course. However, along with this I will be diving deeper into crime scenes, evidence, and forensics; which happens to be my field of major.
Recently I revisited a case that has been sitting in the cold case freezer since 2011 I will briefly mention tidbits of the case in this post. However, I have yet to decide how to organize and set a release date.
Rebecca Zahau, Max Shacknai, and The Spreckles Mansion.
If youâre not familiar with this case, I highly recommend that you read into it or you may read it here as well.
July 11-13, 2011.
Content warning â ď¸ I will be posting some pictures of the crime scene involving Rebecca Zahau. However, I will NOT be sharing the photos of her body. I the crime scene is disturbing and unsettling, but since I am deep diving Rebeccaâs case, I felt it was necessary to look in order to challenge the ruling of her committing suicide.
Who was Rebecca Zahau?

I will give you a small bit of information about Rebecca. Rebecca Zahau was from Myanmar (Burma) in March of 1979. Rebecca eventually moved to the United States and built quite a life for herself.
Family members described Rebecca who was fiercely protective and loving towards her family members. She adored her family and took great pride in her appearance (please remember this detail later)

In July 2011, Rebecca, her teenage sister Xena, and Rebeccaâs boyfriendâs son, six year old Max Shacknai. (Remember Max too, he is pivotal in this story)
On July 11th, Max took a horrific and eventually fatal fall from the two story banister at the Spreckles mansion. Rebecca and her sister were the only ones there at the time, Xena called 911 and Max was taken to Rady Childrenâs Hospital. This singular incident sparked fury, accusations, and theories. Some believe that foul play was involved in Maxâs death. But there really is no proof to support this theory.
Unfortunately, two days later, on July 13th, Rebecca was found bound by a heavy duty red nylon rope and she was gagged with one of her own shirts.
This is where the case gets tricky; while the San Diego Police Department ruled Rebeccaâs death a suicide, there are many red flags that point to foul play.

I myself donât buy the suicide theory for many reasons
- Rebeccaâs hands were tied behind her back in intricate knots.
- Her ankles were also bound with the heavy duty red rope
- According to autopsy results, Rebecca suffered blunt force trauma to her head. And when this happens, it can cause serious damage. My theory is that she was attacked, and hit in the head with a heavy object, rendering her either unconscious or deceased before the time someone threw her over the balcony.
- It is literally physically impossible for Rebecca to have done this to herself. It would be very hard to gag yourself, tie your hands behind your back, tie your ankles and leap over hanging on the balcony.
When Max went over that railing and was in critical condition, a lot of finger pointing was towards Rebecca.

Some may argue that this is 100% possible. My mission is to debunk and challenge the ruling of Rebeccaâs death.

When Rebecca was found hanging on the balcony in the courtyard, she was completely naked. Which struck me as unusual since Rebecca was pretty meticulous about her appearance. Why would she display herself in the nude?
The footprints belong to Rebecca and there is a mysterious boot print that belongs to a different individual. This tells me she wasnât on the balcony alone, and was likely dropped by her assailant.
â¨disclaimer I am not claiming to know everything, but how long are we really gonna keep a blind eye on situations like this?

Above is a âsuicide noteâ painted in black. Itâs referencing the fall that eventually turned fatal for Max Shacknai.
Jonah Shacknai was beside at the Rady Childrenâs Hospital on the night Rebecca died. He was there with Dina Romano, his ex wife and mother of Max Shacknai.

That very night, Adam Shacknai, came into town to support his nephew and the rest of his family members.
Jonah, Rebecca, Adam, and a man named Howard all went out to eat. Afterwards Jonah returns to the hospital, while Rebecca and Adam returned to the mansion.
The next morning, 32 year old Rebecca Zahau was found hanging from the balcony in the courtyard. Adam Shacknai was the one who discovered her body around 6 AM. Paramedics arrived at the Sven and pronounced Rebecca dead at the scene.
But how? Rebeccaâs family was furious with the ruling as certain pieces of evidence didnât quite align with that of a suicide.
In a civil court in 2018, Adam Shacknai was found liable for Rebeccaâs death following a suit from Rebeccaâs family for wrongful death.
Adam himself has not been convicted of anything but the questions still remain.
That night, Adam claimed that he had taken an Ambien and went to sleep. A witness named Melissa who lived near by recalled hearing a woman scream âHELP ME! HELP ME!â This alone is very chilling, and very telling. Ambien is a sleep aid but itâs also not a miracle drug that will render you extremely tired to the point where youâre out like a light. If there were other people who heard the screams, and the music blaring, then I would imagine Adam would too.
The guest room wasnât far from the room Rebecca was staying in. Given the proximity, it would be easy for him to access.
Adam has maritime expertise and in his line of work, they DO know how to tie intricate knots.
The way this case was handled is highly frustrating. Someone within the circle knows at least SOMETHING. I think itâs time justice gets set in motion.

There is a heavy duty red nylon rope tied around the bed frame. This bed was possibly across the window from the balcony. The San Diego police said the bed moved 7 inches. BUT on Oxygen, Paul Holes and his team recreated Rebeccaâs death. In that recreation, the bed moved 39 inches, which would make sense if the balcony is where Rebecca was found. It would also take Rebecca a great deal of willpower to scoot herself up to the window, stand up with her ankles bound, and somehow manage to fling herself off the balcony.
I am also taking her autopsy into consideration; Rebecca suffered some significant blows to the head. And when we are struck in the head, it can render our motor skills useless. My guess is that she was half unconscious, unconscious fully, or deceased by the time she was over the balcony. Itâs logic to me that doesnât add up.
Which leads me to this⌠I am daring to challenge this ruling. If anyone wants to believe this was a suicide, then I will respect your opinion. However, please take time to hear me out as well. đ
See ya next time! đL.W.
