At just 39 years old, Malcom X was gunned down at the Audubon Ballroom. He suffered 21 gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead shortly after at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.

The Crime: Audubon Ballroom- Manhattan, New York

On February 21, 1965, Malcom X was preparing to address the Organization of Afro-American Unity in Manhattan’s Audubon Ballroom when someone in the 400-person audience shouted, “Nigger! Get your hand outta my pocket!” As Malcom and his bodyguards tried to settle the disturbance, a man rushed toward Malcom and shot him once in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun. Two other men charged the stage, firing semi-automatic handguns.

Well damn. How many guns and people did they need? Like shit. They ambushed him; one, or none, would have sufficed.

At 3:30 PM, Malcolm X was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. The autopsy revealed 21 gunshot wounds to the chest, left shoulder, arms, and legs.

The Motive & True Killer:

This outta be interesting. Why was Malcom X killed? Well, I will tell you why. Is it because he harmed someone? no. Did he steal something? I can’t answer that, for I don’t know, and whatever, chat.

The REAL reason behind Malcom X’s murder is kind of petty to me. I am sorry; I know there are a lot of mechanics to it, but I am calling it like it is… and it is kinda petty

The Reason:

He was assassinated as retribution for breaking from the Nation of Islam (NOI) and openly criticizing its leader, Elijah Muhammad.

Whatever. He’s got life in prison, so…. Yeah. With his trifling ass. I’m sorry, but I done said that. According to Mujahid Abdul Halim, the other men were innocent. Although “innocent” isn’t exactly what I would call someone who just decides to participate in a full-on intricate, elaborate murder scheme.
