šŸŽƒThe Strange Case Database: (Complete Halloween Edition)

Hey spooky friends! šŸŽƒThis story today is pretty heavy, complex, and eerie. However we will still treat it accordingly. For now this isn’t a deep dive but rather a part of my database.

Proud moment: I invented my own database. Yay! I’ll celebrate later, but I am proud of myself.

Now that announcements are over, let’s jump right in. This took place in Panama in 2014 and it’s currently unsolved.

✨Please note I am not that seasoned on this case so, bear with me here.

Location: Boquete, Chiriqui, Panama.

Crime: Unknown, not proven, undetermined.

The Deaths of Kirs Kremers and Lisanne Froon: April 1, 2014 (disappeared)

Kirs Kremers and Lisanne Froon

Before we get slightly into the details of the case we must first get to know the girls; Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon. Both young women are from the Netherlands.

Who was Kris Kremers?

Kris Kremers

Kris Kremers was born on August 9, 1992 in Amersfoot, Province of Utrecht, Netherlands. Kris was a cultural studies student with a deep passion for art, photography, and travel. She was described by her loved ones as energetic, creative, and cheerful.

Lisanne Froon

Lisanne Froon was born on September 24, 1991 in Amersfoot, Province of Utrecht, Netherlands . Lisanne is remembered by her loved ones as ambitious, intelligent, aspiring, and a passionate volleyball player. She stood out physically as quite athletic and tall (around 6 feet) Lisanne also had recently graduated with a degree in Applied Sciences.

The Strangest Day Ever? Panama (April 2014)-

Okay, I wish I had more time and energy to get into the details but essentially Kris & Lisanne had planned a six-week trip to Panama as a graduation celebration. They also had intended to combine a vacation with learning Spanish and doing volunteer work with local children.

Sounds like a very noble and fun goal! Tells you a lot about their characters. On April 1, 2014, while based in the mountain town of Boquete, the girls set out to hike the El Pianista trail near the Baru Volcano National Park. The girls never returned from the hike.

El Pianista trail

Fast forward a weeks later, ( or perhaps longer)a backpack belonging to Lisanne was found by local residents. In the bag, all of Lisanne’s personal belongings were still in tact, her backpack still dry.

Strange….

The creepiest component to me is the photos. Then again they may have been trying to use the light from the camera flash to get help? Bad theory but just a thought.

I do know the saddest part is that they tried their absolute hardest to get cellular signal out there. If I am correct, the girls got lost. Maybe stumbling upon lots of factors; terrain, wildlife, etc.

The Photos: absolutely chilling.

What exactly do these photos represent?

In my above theory I stated that perhaps the use of the camera was a signal of light. Hoping someone, anyone would be able to find them.

Did they succumb to the environment they were in? But there’s still so many questions here, I don’t know if I can say it’s a ā€œhomicideā€ as I haven’t seen any angle of it as of now. This will be on my roasted because this is absolutely insane.

Kris’s hair???
???

I know that’s a stick? I guess. Hmm, this is very strange. There are so many elements that are at play here… that make this case so hard to grasp because there’s so witnesses or anything to attest as to what occurred to the girls. We can confrim withness sightings before they vanished before their untimely deaths.

Underneath the mystery is a tragic mystery of two young women who died under mysterious circumstances. Whether foul play was involved or if it was simply the case of getting lost, it’s still a very, very huge loss to the world and their respective families.

One day I will take a better look. For now I did my best and I’m about to pass out from allergy meds at some point.

Before I go….

Take a minute to remember the two young women behind this strange incident.
