⚠️ This post contains disturbing elements of unlawful conduct and abuse of corpses. Please proceed with caution ⚠️

Imagine being a private investigator, and hearing about the most wildest, absurd, and bizarre cases. I hear about strange stories/cases nearly every day and some of them make me scratch my head.

A 34-year old man named Johnathan Gerlach is in custody after law enforcement made a very disturbing discovery.

Officials say they found skulls, bones, and other remains in Gerlach’s home and car.

Huh 🤔 well wow.

Since early November, someone had been committing a string of bizarre burglaries. But no one knew who was directly tied to the crime until…

An anonymous tip came in that alarmed police about Gerlach’s disturbing home “decor” this individual went to Gerlach’s home and saw human remains around his house.

Johnathan, a Pennsylvania native who was suspected of stealing more than 100 pieces of human remains from a historic cemetery allegedly admitted to selling the remains online.

Oh dear god, what the heck.

Gerlach’s purported admission, along with the most complete account of how he got caught gained the attention of law enforcement who had been trying to investigate these burglaries from the beginning.

Finally, law enforcement obtained a search warrant to search Gerlach’s home. What they found, was something “straight out of a horror movie” one government official said.

Brooooo!

Detectives were already investigating reports of cemetery burglaries when cops received another tip online that strongly suggested that they look into Gerlach immediately.

According to the tip, Gerlach had claimed to have traveled to Chicago and sold a human skull.

Yeah….

Detectives combed through Gerlach’s social media and noted he was part of a Facebook group for…morbidly odd things.

Eventually Delware County Police linked Gerlach to the burglaries of Mount Moriah Cemetery in the Philadelphia suburb of Yeadon, after they traced his vehicle, a Toyota RAV4 that repeatedly kept showing up in the area.

Cellphone records also further established that Gerlach frequented the vicinity of the cemetery around the time the burglaries began. He had been digging through mausoleums and underground burial vaults.

On January 6th, 2026, police saw Golach leaving Mount Moriah with a crowbar and a burlap sack.

Guess what was in there!??

Gerlach was arrested near is car where you could visibly see bones and skulls in the backseat. BOOM 💥 caught red handed!!

Then Gerlach’s home was searched the day following his arrest where human remains were found; three skulls, and several loose bones..,just you know, in his basement.

So, now Gerlach is in custody and is being held at a $1 Million bail.

The CommonWealth of Pennsylvania filed 547 charges against Gerlach..which includes; 100 counts of abuse of a corpse, 100 counts of theft, 26 counts of burglary, and 26 counts of intentional desecration of a public monument.

He was scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Delaware County, on January 20, 2026.

I wonder what happens next with him?

Stay tuned. ❤ L.W.
