Columbus, Ohio: December 30, 2025- Fatal Shootings of Spencer & Monique Tepe

Who was Spencer Tepe?

Spencer Tepe, 37, was a beloved dental surgeon. He obtained his education at Ohio State University where he earned his Bachelors degree in Biology, while also doubling a major in Spanish in 2017.

After graduating, Spencer invested hundreds of hours in continuing education and focuses on comprehensive dentistry with a special interest in dental implant therapy.

Spencer was passionate about delivering the highest quality of care and a comfortable experience while building meaningful relationships with his patients.

During his time outside the office, he enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his family.

Who was Monique Tepe?

Monique Tepe, 39, was a nurse who carried light & joy with her everywhere she went. Her family and friends describe her as being magnetic, warm, and full of life. She had a smile that could light up the whole world.

She was once married to a man named Michael Mckee, who was a vascular surgeon. She also attended Ohio State University and studied to be a nurse.

With what reports have found thus far in the case, Monique’s ex-husband Michael is being charged with the murder of Monique and her husband Spencer.

The couple was brutally murdered in their bedroom in Columbus, Ohio, in the wee morning hours of December 30, 2025.

Surveillance picked up Mckee wandering around the Tepe residence. Mckee lived in Chicago, about seven hours away from the Tepes.

The media also reports that Mckee and Monique had a rocky marriage as he was emotionally abusive towards Monique. He even threatened her life on various occasions.

The gruesome discovery was made when Spencer’s coworkers grew concerned when Spencer didn’t make it into work on the morning of December 30.

Their bodies were discoverd in the bedroom where Spencer sustained multiple gunshot wounds, while Monqiue sustained one gunshot wound. Their children, one 4 years of age, and the other child only 1 years old.

Both children were unharmed and are currently in the care of family.

Since this case is still fresh, I will be following it and updating as more information is released. For now I did the best I could with what I do know so this post will be subject to change.
