The Sadistic Murder of Christie Mullins- The Conclusion

Bonjour, true crime friends! So I realized that I never wrote or posted the conclusion to Christie Lynn Mullin’s case. I plan to do that immediately so I can wrap it up nicely.

Christie Lynn Mullins

if you need a refresher, Christie Lynn Mullins was born on August 28, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. She was only 14 years old and a few days shy of her 15th birthday before she was brutally murdered by a local man named Henry Newell J.R.

The case wasn’t solved immediately despite the fact that the perpatrator (Henry) was an obvious suspect in the case.

Multiple outlets reported that Henry was the one who discovered Mullin’s body in a wooded area behind the Graceland Shopping Center.

Henry was shirtless and parts of his pants were missing. Henry told police he used his shirt to cover Christie’s body.

But alas, police did not suspect him. Upon researching this case I learned that Henry had a record of violence and a hankering for young girls.

His young niece Pam Brown, who was 16 at the time was forced to keep her uncle’s dark secret. Henry used his power imbalance to control.

Due to an account Henry gave to police, 26-year old Jack Allan Carmen was arrested for the murder of Christie Mullins.

However, everyone in the community found this to be impossible since Jack was known locally as a man with a low IQ level and thus made him physically incapable of committing this crime.

In the final part, I will go over how Jack was caught, his wrongful conviction, and how it took 40 years to get justice.. at least somewhat.

I’ll be working on this and post it soon! Much love, L.W.
