Bonjour, friends! Happy (almost) weekend.
I didn’t plan to write this post today, but some tragedies are too heavy to scroll past. This isn’t perfectly organized—it’s raw, emotional, and necessary.

Reporting to you live from… Arkansas City.

Oh hey, Kansas
A Tragedy in Arkansas
While reading the news, I came across a story that broke my heart. A couple, Amanda and Clinton David Brink, were hiking with their daughters at Devil’s Den State Park in Arkansas.
The unimaginable happened.
Amanda and Clinton are no longer with us, leaving behind two young daughters who, thankfully, were physically unharmed. I can’t stop thinking about the fact that these little girls are safe, but now without their parents. It’s devastating.

According to the article, both Amanda and Clinton were hiking in Devil’s Den State park officials say.
The Suspect
According to police, the suspect is James Andrew McGann, 28—a teacher. Yes, you read that right. A teacher.
He was arrested on Wednesday at… a barbershop.
Because apparently, if you commit an unthinkable crime, the next step is a haircut.

Yet, judging by his heinous actions here…

A Moment of Reflection
I don’t have the perfect words for this one. The world feels heavier knowing that two innocent parents are gone because of someone else’s cruelty.
RIP Amanda & Clinton ❤️
My heart is with your daughters.
May you both rest in peace.

The link above will have more meat than this blog post. I honestly have no words and I wish the world was a safer place to be.
