My heart can no longer bear this case. It’s heartbreaking & I wonder how Junko’s family is doing today. Hopefully they are living well and are healed. Losing a loved one will make you not be the same ever again.

24 hours after Junko passed, the gang members decided that they needed to cover their tracks. So they took a blanket and wrapped Junko’s body, placed it in a travel bag and put her in a metal drum and filled it with wet cement. Way to go, boys. The next morning, January 5th, the boys drove to a nearby construction site on the island Wakasu in Koto Tokyo, and dumped her body there.

Early in 1989 both Miyano & Ogura were arrested for kidnapping and rape of a 19-year old woman in December 1988. Miyano was interrogated, he falsely had believed that Ogura had confessed to the murder of Junko Furuta. From that point, the drum containing Junko’s body was discovered on March 29 and she was identified via fingerprints.

Since all the boys were under 20, their identities were concealed from the public. In July of 1990, all were found guilty and sentenced by the Tokyo District court for abduction, confinement, sexual assault, rape, murder and abandonment of a corpse.

Unfortunately, all four perpetrators rome the streets free. The general public and MYSELF believe that they should be punished severely. To me, this is a slap in the face to Junko and her family. The brutality of this case, the torment, the raping. They took everything from Junko.

Although she should still be here, Rest In Peace Junko, I carry you in my heart even if I didn’t know you. And much love to her loved ones ❤
